TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man and a woman are dead after Tulare County deputies say a domestic violence incident ended in a murder suicide.
The Tulare County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to a home on Crystal Street and Reed Avenue in the community of Woodville for a report of a domestic violence incident just before 3:15 p.m. Thursday.
While deputies were responding to the call, they were told someone had been shot.
When they arrived at the home, they made entry and found a 40-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Deputies say the man was pronounced dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The woman was taken to the hospital for her injuries, where she later died.
Authorities say a child was present when the shooting happened.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Tulare County Sheriff's Office.
